Over the years I have kept a good many sketch books filled with an assortment of writings, collages, crude drawings, and a few shopping lists. Wanting to compile some of the more interesting moments, I decided upon an abc 'book' (actually website). Arranging 25 collages in chronological order I pared them with the letters of the alphabet (ie. the composition for 'a' is the oldest and the one for 'z' is the most recent). I then selected 25 words I enjoy. There is no preconceived correlation between word and collage; whatever connections that exist are purely by happenstance or in the mind of the viewer.
